Kain tenun bagi masyarakat Timor dapat menunjukkan suatu status sosial yang tinggi.Kaum bangsawan Pemilikan biasanya mewariskan kain tenun kepada generasi berikutnya.Kainkain tenun yang paling tinggi nilainya diperlihatkan pada acara-acara perkawinan danupacara adat lainnya. Dalam upacara perkawinan juga terjadi pertukaran kain-kain tenun adatdari pihak keluarga laki-laki dengan pihak keluarga perempuan. Kain tenun juga mempunyai nilaiyang menentukan dalam aturan adat. Apabila ada pelanggaran terhadap aturan adat, akandikenakan pembayaran denda yang harus dibayar dengan kain-kain adat. Peralatan tenun yangdipergunakan adalah alat tenun tradisional yaitu alat tenun gedongan.Terwujudnya karya seni merupakan visualisasi dari pikiran seorang seniman yangmemiliki ekspresi jiwa dan diungkap dari suatu pemahaman yang diserap dalam pikiran maupunperasaan. Lewat pemahaman dari berbagai model yang diserap dalam pikiran maupun erasaanakan menimbulkan ide-ide baru yang tak terbatas, kemudian divisualiasiskan lewatsimbolsimbol tertentu ke dalam wujud karya seni.Dalam data-data yang terkumpul, terdapat beberapa bentuk motif yang telah distilir dandipergunakan untuk tujuan yang berbeda-beda.Untuk tujuan fungsional, motif telah distilirdalam hal hias-menghias pada pakaian dan acesoris, perhiasan dan lainnya.Selain itu, Untuktujuan seni, motif tradisional Timorbelum pernah distilir dalam hal berkarya seni. Kata kunci : Motif , Tais Timor, kriya Seni.

Dual Citizenship in Germany and what it Means for World Politics

The article is devoted to the new law on dual citizenship in Germany and analyzes its eventual impact on the international political system. Dual citizenship establishes political and legal connections between an individual and two states at the same time. Its admissibility has been a subject of various discussions since the very appearance of this institution and doubtful loyalty has always been the main argument against it. The adoption of a law permitting dual citizenship in Germany for those whose both parents are foreigners means passing another stage of liberalization. This decision is part of the idea of an open multicultural society officially praised all over Europe and that has silenced (at least for now) arguments on unreliability of those who hold two ID cards. The author focuses on Turkish diaspora that will benefit the most from the initiative, since it is the largest and the most influential foreign community on German territory. Thus, issues related to citizenship are closely connected with modern migration problems. Suggesting that migration flows from Turkey will grow and so will the proportion of German citizens of Turkish descent, the author attempts to predict how the new law can influence world politics. In these circumstances further changes are possible in integration processes, the relations between EU and its key partners and equally in international security architecture. The analysis is preceded by a short historical overview of Turkish diaspora formation in Germany and German vision of a national community that inevitably determines the State citizenship policies.

Euroscepticism in Italy: Evolution of Northern League Political Program

The article examines the key stages of the establishment of Italy’s Northern League as a rightwing hard eurosceptic party. Being initially a continual supporter of European integration and considering the transition to common currency as an opportunity available only to northern regions, which could secede and form an independent state, Northern League after losing the main point of its political agenda when the whole Italy joined the Economic and Monetary Union in 1998, became a eurosceptically-oriented party, which it is up to now. The authors dwell on the focal points of the party’s anti-EU program: Italy’s exit from the eurozone, the formation of Europe of macroregions, the reformation of supranational institutes and decision-making procedures. However, while confronting the Northern League policy with that of National Front in France and UKIP in the United Kingdom, the authors come to the conclusion that Euroscepticism for the former is just a sign of the shift in priorities rather than a strategy as for the latter. This can be explained by the fact that National Front and UKIP are still to fight for the place in the national mainstream, while Northern League has become its integral part long before. Nevertheless, under the new leadership of M.Salvini Northern League managed to become the fourth party on the national level according to the results of European parliament elections in 2014 and established itself as a significant power opponent to EU policy on a number of important issues, such as anti-Russian sanctions. Moreover, frequent visits of party members to Moscow and the party’s outspoken support of Russia on Crimea’s entrance into the Russian Federation provide an opportunity to consider Northern League a potential conductor of Russian interests in the European Union.

Co-creating a digital service for small business owners’ finance management

This paper presents a small-scale qualitative study exploring the everyday finance management of small business owners. The study was conducted by carrying out contextual interviews, combining the approach of business and social sciences. Insights from five study cases were utilised in co-creating a novel digital service targeted to facilitate finance management in the areas identified as challenging or lacking suitable services. The benefits and challenges of the co-creation process are also discussed. The findings increase the current understanding and bring practical implications to the understudied area of co-creation of financial services. For example, the needs for integration of services and graphical presentation of financial data are not met with current service offering and should be supported better. Gamification and social aspects, as well as, the need for mobile use, are seen as interesting elements for future research.

RESULTADOS PRELIMINARES DEL CRECIMIENTO DE NEONATOS DE LAGARTO NEGRO Melanosuchus niger (Spix 1825), (Crocodylia, Alligatoridae), NACIDOS EN CAUTIVERIO EN IQUITOS – PERU

Se reporta la crianza en cautiverio de neonatos de Melanosuchus niger, a partir de la incubación de huevos de tres nidos recolectados de áreas naturales por el sistema de rancheo. Sobrevivieron 06 neonatos que fueron colocados en una pecera de vidrio de 1.40, 0.40 x 0.50 m3, durante nueve meses. Un neonato murió por ataque de roedores y dos por prematuridad. Luego fueron trasladados por tres meses en un ambiente semi – natural, de 8 x 12 m2, donde compartieron espacio y alimentación con las otras tres especies de caimanes amazónicos, todos juveniles. La alimentación fue a base de peces. Los neonatos, al momento de la eclosión, tuvieron una longitud total de 29.93 cm = 299.3 mm (29.6 a 30.8 cm), y un peso de 86.67g (82 a 93 g). En doce meses tuvieron un crecimiento promedio en longitud total de 46.22 cm = 462.2 mm y peso de 286.14 g. El crecimiento mensual de la longitud total tuvo una ganancia promedio de 3.01 cm = 30.1 mm, con crecimiento diario de 0.12cm = 1.2 mm; y el incremento mensual de peso de 55 g, con un incremento diario de 1.83 g.

Aplikasi Filosofi Tri Hita Karana dalam Konsep Perencanaan Lansekap Gereja Katolik Santa Maria Immaculata, Tabanan

Tri Hita Karana as Site Plan Concepts of Santa Maria Immaculata Catholic Church Tabanan Landscape Santa Maria Immaculata Catholic Church Tabanan (SMICCT) landscape has been developed for sufficient the user activities.  There is no particular site plan concept, therefore SMICCT garden is not well ordered.   This research aims to apply Tri Hita Karana (THK) as SMICCT site plan concept, to adjust THK with the user activities and apply the garden elements that unify the characters of THK.  The results of this research showed that SMICCT landscape needs to be structured the garden to create a space and provide atmosphere which contains the activities of users.  THK as SMICCT site plan concepts are used to categorize the space based on the user activities, and to choose garden elements in creating the atmosphere of space on the SMICCT landscape.   Keywords: cultural inculturation, tri hita karana, site plan

A hydromechanical model for the analysis of concrete gravity dam foundations

RESUMO – Apresenta-se a formulação explícita de um modelo hidromecânico em pequenos deslocamentos, baseado numa tecnologia de elementos finitos de junta. O modelo hidromecânico proposto requer um esquema de pré-processamento robusto, de modo a garantir que os contactos entre os diversos blocos que representam o maciço rochoso de fundação e a barragem são somente aresta/aresta. A parte mecânica do modelo, apesar de limitada a pequenos deslocamentos, tem a vantagem de permitir uma representação rigorosa da distribuição de tensões ao longo das juntas. A parte hidráulica do modelo é perfeitamente compatível com a parte me câ ni ca. O modelo hidromecânico é validado recorrendo a uma situação hipotética de uma barragem gravidade fundada num maciço com fraturação regular e a uma situação real de uma barragem em serviço, comparando os resultados com os obtidos com um modelo discreto em grandes deslocamentos. São também comparados os resultados de análises de estabilidade, concluindo-se que é possível avaliar a segurança ao deslizamento de barragens gravidade em betão recorrendo a modelos de interação em pequenos deslocamentos.

Caracterização geotécnica do solo da cidade de Uberlândia (MG) / Brasil para utilização em aterros sanitários

Apresenta-se um estudo dos solos lateríticos da cidade de Uberlândia (Minas Gerais) para utilização como camada de apoio e camada de solo compactado (CCL) de aterros sanitários. A avaliação do potencial de utilização dos solos analisados foi baseada nos critérios geotécnicos de granulometria e de limites de consistência, por meio de ensaios de caracterização física e de investigações geotécnicas. Foram ensaiadas quatro amostras de solo, abrangendo as duas unidades geológicas características da região. Com base nos resultados das características físicas, verificou-se que as amostras AM01 e AM02 pertencentes às regiões Norte e Leste da cidade, apresentam textura argilo-siltosa com potencial de utilização como CCL e como material de apoio para implantação de aterros sanitários. As amostras AM03 e AM04, pertencentes à região Sudeste e Sul, foram caracterizadas como de textura areno-argilosa, não atendendo aos valores mínimos desejáveis para utilização como CCL e como material de apoio.
