Discusssion On The Idea And Technology In Labor Augmenting Solow Model Besides Physical And Human Capital Complementarity
It is suggested that developing countries could catch up with the developed world if only they attained increased levels of human development. The links between growth and human development are complex even with human capital its self and human capital to the physical capital. Besides large disparities in indicators of human well-being, such as life expectancy and educational attainment, not all countries with relatively higher levels of human development handles to achieve high long-term economic growth rates (United Nations, 2006). As data points out that in order to reach the convergence among the countries, not only the physical to human capital ratio plays crucial role but also the income level specific effects. What these income level specific effects indicate in our study? How they are related with technology and ideas? Technologies are the way in which inputs to the production process are transformed into output and ideas improve the technology of production. Therefore, a new idea allows a given bundle of inputs to produce more or better output and ideas are non-rivalrous. Once an idea is created, anyone with knowledge of the idea can take advantage of it. Ideas are partially excludable while technologies in the inputs are mostly excludable since goods and inputs suffer from tragedy of commons. Thus, in order to benefit efficiently from the ideas and technology, the macro economic stability, social cohesion, common structural habits or feeling secure about the life, geography, religion, corruption, quality of institutions and governance structures matter for economic growth. That is what dummies stands for and that goes with what Bulutay (1995) emphasizes about the ambiance created by the countries.
Structural Retrofitting of a Reinforced Concrete Chimney
In this study, structural strengthening on Turkey's oldest iron and steel factory, Iskenderun Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. (ISDEMIR)'s No:1 Blast Furnace Aspiration Concrete Chimneys were examined. These reinforced concrete chimneys were built according to the Russian standard in 1975. For reinforced concrete chimney concrete and reinforcing rebar, Russian Norm standards have been translated into norms that used in Turkey. For years, industrial dynamic effects, occurring in the region through strong winds and heavy industrial dust circulation in the chimney consisted of visible damage to the chimney. For the determination of the current status of the chimney infrared detection devices were used for the location, identification of reinforcement steel bars. Tensile tests were used on reinforcing bars to determine the material properties of steel rebar. Compressive tests were performed on concrete core samples. After a detailed investigation a concrete jacketing method is utilized to strengthened the 59.2 m long chimney. This study will summarize details of the strengthening on the chimney.

Extracellular RNAs Are Associated With Insulin Resistance and Metabolic Phenotypes
Insulin resistance (IR) is a hallmark of obesity and metabolic disease. Circulating extracellular RNAs (ex-RNAs), stable RNA molecules in plasma, may play a role in IR, though most studies on ex-RNAs in IR are small. We sought to characterize the relationship between ex-RNAs and metabolic phenotypes in a large community-based human cohort.
WATER ABSORPTION AND BIODEGRADATION PROPERTIES OF POTATO WASTE-BASED POLYURETHANE FOAMS
Potato-based polyurethane foams(PUFs) were prepared from the liquefied potato waste-based polyols. Potato wastes liquefied in the presence of polyethylene glycol/glycerin-dominant liquefaction reagent by using sulphuric acid as catalyst in a microwave oven system under stirring. The liquefied potato waste-based polyols were characterized for the preparation of polyurethane foams. The potato-based polyol which was obtained from 9% sulfuric acid catalyst within 30 min liquefaction reaction period was chosen for the preparation of PU foams. Biodegradation and water absorption properties of PU foams were measured and contrasted with syntetic petroleum-based commercial foams. Prepared PU foam was cut into small pieces of equal volume (10 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm) before biodegradation and water intake test. Biodegrability of PU foam-based on liquefied potato wastes-contained foams was determined according to service biodegradation test for three months. The mean amount of water absorption of potato wastes-based PU foams was measured within 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 24 and 48 hour. The weight losses (resulted from a 3-month service biodegradation test) of the liquefied potato wastes-based foams along with commercial synthetic PU-type rigid foams had been found 17.84% and 0,107% respectively. The mean amount water intake at potato wastes-based PU foams were as to 137%, 156%, 226%, 249%, 393%, 608%, 1,030% within 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 24, and 48 hour respectively. These measurements were as to 35%, 42%, 52%, 65%, 76%, 84%, and 89% within 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 24, 48 hour at syntetic foams. Biodegradation and water absorption properties were found to be higher than those of petroleum-based PU foams dependently biomass content.
