Medical Image Enhancement to Extract Brain Tumors from CT and MRI images
Always MRI and CT Medical images are noisy so that preprocessing is necessary for enhance these images to assist clinicians and make accurate diagnosis. Firstly, in the proposed method uses two denoising filters (Median and Slantlet) are applied to images in parallel and the best enhanced image gained from both filters is voted by use PSNR and MSE as image quality measurements. Next, extraction of brain tumor from cleaned images is done by segmentation method based on k-mean. The result shows that the proposed method is giving an optimal solution due to denoising method which is based on multiple filter types to obtain best clear images and that is leads to make the extraction of tumor more precision best.

A BRIEF STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF THE FINANCIAL CRISIS OF 2008 ON THE FISCAL POLICY OF THE USA
The reality of the use of the Internet in the process of learning among a sample of students of the universities of Kerbala and Kufa: واقع استخدام شبكة الإنترنت في عملية التعلّم لدى عينة من طلبة جامعتي كربلاء والكوفة
In recent years، we have witnessed the revolution of technology in all sides of life. Therefore، education has been used to exploit this revolution and everyone has the opportunity to benefit from it in the learning. Education at this time has become both electronic and traditional. The educational seeks to achieve many results that keep pace with the times. This study aimed at revealing the extent of the use of technology in the learning for students of the Faculty of Science / Karbala University and the Faculty of Education for Girls / Kufa University in all departments (Computer، Chemistry، Physics، Biology، Mathematics، Sports، Geography، History، Arabic) by electronic questionnaire aimed to comparison between students of humanities study and scientific study in the use of the Internet، comparison of the most sites (YouTube، Google، Facebook،…) that used by students، know number of hours spent by learners in the use of the Internet in the learning process، and stand on the reasons not to use the Internet in the self-learning. This article showed that the number of Internet scientific study students in learning exceeded the number of human study students who do not use the Internet in learning.
Molecular characterization of covalently closed circular plasmid DNA in local Streptomyces strains isolated from soil with detection of antibiotic production and antibacterial activity
Various of Streptomyces species have two kinds of plasmids, circular plasmids (8 to 31 kb) and linear plasmids (12 to 1700 kb). Covalently closed circular (CCC) plasmids are profuse in the genus of Streptomyces and involved in production and resistance of antibiotics by genetic controlling. We collected fifty clinical soil samples from different regions in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf province/Iraq. The samples included five from Al-Ghadeer Quarter, five from Al-Karama Quarter, 10 from Kufa University, five from Al-Ameer Quarter, four from Al-Forat Quarter, 10 from North Quarters and eleven from desert roads in Al-Najaf. Diluted samples were cultured on Yeast extract Malt extract (YEME) agar medium as a selective medium; then the presumptive Streptomyces colonies were subcultured on Tryptone Yeast extract (TYE) agar, then incubation at 37ᵒC for 7 days. Seven biochemical tests for identification of Streptomyces isolates these are: Catalase test, Oxidase test, Urase test, Kligler Iron Agar test (KIA), Simmon᾽s Citrate test, addition to MacConkey agar test and Mannitol Salt agar test. Five antibiotic discs were used for detection of antibiotic sensitivity of the Streptomyces isolates; these are: Tetracycline, Gentamycin, Vancomycin, Ampicillin, Erythromycin. The sensitivity of the antibiotics was observed by recorded the diameter of inhibition zone around the discs. Two test bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli) were used for the determination of antibacterial activity. Plasmid isolation was done by the alkaline lysis method. This method is characterized by the rapid isolation of DNA from Streptomyces. Then, detection of Plasmid DNA occurred by using agarose gel electrophoresis.
