Comparative Analysis of Wind Speed Forecasting Using LSTM and SVM
The objective of this work is to present a comprehensive exploration of deep learning based wind forecasting model. The forecasting of speed of wind is called as the wind speed forecasting/prediction. It is basically done to achieve the better sustainability for power generation and production. The availability of wind energy in ample amount makes it quite comfortable to be utilized for various functionalities. In this research work the main aim is to forecast speed using LSTM including certain parameters and then comparative analysis is done using SVM. Both are machine learning approaches but have different functionalities in comparison to each other. This comparison is done to obtain the better technique which can be further applied on larger datasets to design a better, accurate, efficient forecasting model for speed of wind. The survey and implementation of both the techniques gave a clear idea about the utilisation of long short term memory for the better and enhanced wind speed forecasting. The forecasting is based on various atmospheric variables, and the data set is taken from the kaggle datsets which have numerous attributes but we have considered few of them only for the prediction purpose.

The p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPKs) play a crucial role in the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and over-expression of it increase cytokines which promote cancer. Among four isoforms, p38α has been well studied in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and other cancers as a therapeutic target. p38δ has recently emerged as a potential disease-specific drug target. Elevated serum p38α level in HNSCC was reported earlier from our lab. This study aims to estimate the levels of p38 MAPK-isoforms in the serum of HNSCC and design peptide inhibitor targeting the same.

Structural changes in different regions of the brain have become clinically relevant and regarded as the signature phenomenon for neurological diseases. Morphological changes in brain are also associated with neuronal and neurochemical alterations. Studies have showed that minute changes in neurochemical levels may have marked impact on the psychobehaviourof the subject. Several neurological disease profiles have been reported with such specific psychobehavioural expression. However, application of behavioural abnormalities as possible disease progress markers has not been considered and emphasised much. Reports suggestedthat- the subjects, who have already entered into the terminal stage of the disease, used to show cardinal behavioural signs for a specific disease profile. However, psychologicalexpressions are comparatively early expressive. As most of the neurodegenerative disordersare unidirectional and progressive by nature, therapeutic intervention at the right time isessential for attaining the desired outcome. Moreover, early diagnosis can aid in managingthe disease progression also. Psychobehavioural analysis could meet the expected outcomeof disease diagnosis if implemented properly and timely. In the present review, we have amalgamated the reported behavioural anomalies with the supportive background fromneurochemical basis. Further, we have concluded that behaviour centric studies could b ea p ote ntial diagnostic tool for the early diagnosis of major neurological diseases such asAlzheimer disease, Parkinson’s disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Bipolar disorder,Schizophrenia, Impulse control disorder (ICD) and Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Mechanical, Thermal and Crystallization Properties of Polypropylene (PP) Reinforced Composites with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) as Matrix
Our work aims to evaluate a complete outlook of virgin high density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) polyblends. Virgin PP of 20, 30 and 50 weight% is compounded with virgin HDPE. The properties like tensile strength, flexural strength, Izod impact strength are examined. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and polarised light microscopy (PLM) are used to observe the surface and crystal morphology. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) tests verify the non compatibility of both polymers. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques are used to study the thermal behaviour of composites. The results manifest co-occurring spherulites for polyblends; indicating the composite to be a physical blend of continuous and dispersed phases, but on the other hand PP improves the tensile and flexural properties of HDPE.
A Simple Model of Currency Notes Withdrawal
In the backdrop of the demonetization move by the Government of India, this paper proposes a model of optimal currency holding when there is a possibility of currency withdrawal. Our results indicate that if the perceived probability of withdrawal of higher denomination currency is very high, then agents would eventually hold cash in lower denomination currency only, thereby making the higher currency notes redundant. Thus, one of the targets of demonetization, which is less holding of higher currency notes, can be achieved without actually implementing demonetization.
