Milli Mücadelede İşgal ve Zaferlerin Niğde'deki Yansımaları
The Mudros Armistice ended the First World War, which lasted for four years and shook the world in terms of its effectiveness, on behalf of the Ottoman State. Along with the armistice, the state-sharing plans that the Entente States had done during the war were started to be operated. The Entente States initiated the occupation movement within this plan, and all sides of the country had been witnessed the scene of occupations. Along with the occupations, the national resistance movement had come to the agenda nationwide. The occupation of İzmir had been an important factor in the transformation of this resistance movement into an organized structure. The first point of reference in terms of reaction to the occupations was the protest rallies in the sense of telling this injustice. The fact that Izmir had been occupied by Greece aroused great excitement and fear in the country, as one of the first reactions the telegrams were sent to the Entente States, the Istanbul Government, and the Padishah. As the leader of the National Struggle, Mustafa Kemal Pasha’s coming to Samsun with a duty of Army Inspector is an important turning point to start the struggle from Anatolia. In the following process, the local and national congresses gathered, the struggle had been transformed into a more comprehensive and organizational structure. In the sense of reacting to occupations, Niğde also fulfilled his duty, and the protest telegrams about Izmir occupation were sent. In the leadership of the city's elders, with the excitement of the people's sensitivity and occupation emerged, these telegrams were sent to places where they were deemed necessary, primarily to the Entente States. People's reaction is not with it, in the sense that the struggle would be transformed into more organized one, the representatives were sent to organized congresses. In this study, the public's reaction and demonstrated sensitivity will be tried to be put out in the context of Niğde city, in the ongoing process, the satisfaction of winning victories will be tried to be emphasized. Another feature of this study, the reaction shown by especially Niğde region is also shown by the other cities.
