Thoracic endometriosis syndrome at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital

Endometriosis is defined as the presence of endometrial tissue (stroma and functional glands) outside the uterine cavity in women of reproductive age. Ectopic sites are frequently located in the pelvis; extrapelvic sites have been reported in the gastrointestinal tract and thoracic cavity. Thoracic manifestation of endometriosis constitutes thoracic endometriosis syndrome (TES).

Different presentations of vulvar malignant melanoma: Report of two cases

Jinekolojik sistem primer melanomlari, genital mukoza epitelindeki melanositlerden gelisen bir grup bozuklugu icermektedir. Melanom, cildin kutanoz kisminin yanisira mukozal alanlari (vulva gibi) da etkiler. Vulva hem kutanoz hem de mukozal cildi icerir; klitoris, labium minor/major, mons pubis ve uretra ve vajina acikliklarini icermektedir. Burada biz, vulvar malign melanomun iki farkli uc prezentasyonlarini ve tedavilerini sunmayi amacladik.

La déclinaison de la professionnalisation dans le secteur de l’enseignement au Cameroun

En partant des différentes acceptions du concept de professionnalisation et de ses dimensions, la présente étude propose d’analyser le sens qu’en a donné le gouvernement camerounais et les actions qui en ont découlé. Un corpus documentaire constitué des plans quinquennaux, des plans d’ajustement structurel, des stratégies globales de développement et des stratégies sectorielles de l’éducation concernant la période de 1960 à 2020, complété par des entretiens avec des personnes-ressources, a été soumis à une analyse du contenu. Il ressort de cette analyse que deux grandes dimensions de la professionnalisation sont mises en oeuvre au Cameroun, celle de l’enseignement, pris comme corporation, et celles des enseignements. La première a fait l’objet de plusieurs politiques publiques, sans pour autant être officiellement désignée sous le terme professionnalisation. Quant à la seconde, elle est présente dans le discours officiel depuis le milieu des années 1970. Elle vise une meilleure gestion des flux d’élèves et une insertion facile des jeunes dans la vie active. La présente étude suggère un examen plus approfondi du rapport entre « professionnalisation des enseignements » et « professionnalisation du personnel enseignant ».

Design of Non-Inverting Buck-Boost Converter for Electronic Ballast Compatible with LED Drivers

This paper presents design and control of dual-switch non-inverting buck-boost converter (CBB). This converter is designed to simplify the compatibility of electronic ballast with simple and low cost LED drivers. The converter provides starting voltage and current limitation of electronic ballasts, which operates at continuous conduction mode (C.C.M.). The voltage of load terminal is controlled by adjusting the duty cycle of the PWM regulator. Although both converter switches are controlled separately, one feedback control loop is needed to obtain the desired compensator level. Appropriate control requirements have been defined by analyzing open-loop characteristic of converter transfer function through the small-signal model of CBB, which lets decide about the control strategy and analyse the stability and performance of the closed loop control system. In order to obtain the desired output voltage, Type-III rational controller is preferred because of the non-minimum phase feature in the converter boost mode. The performance of the synthesized voltage controller is verified by comparing of the pre-determined performance requirements and the obtained simulation results.

Elektromanyetik yatakli rotorlar kararsiz sistemler olduklari icin geribeslemeli kontrol calisma sartlarinin ayrilmaz bir parcasidir. Rotor dinamigi sabit hizda dogrusal ve zamanla degismeyen ozellikte olmakla birlikte, elektromanyetik yatak dinamigi dogrusal degildir. Dogrusal olmayan yatak dinamigi sabit bir sapma akimi kullanilarak bir calisma noktasi civarinda dogrusallastirilabilir. Bu makalede yatay rotor/aktif manyetik yatakli sistemler icin MIMO PID kontrolor tasarlayarak SISO PID kontrol ile performansini karsilastirmaktayiz. Rotor dinamigindeki dinamik eslesme birbirine dik yonlerde jiroskopik kuvvetler olusturmaktadir. Eslesik (dinamik) dengesizlik kuvvetler nedeniyle olusabilecek yanal yonlerdeki acisal hareketlerin meydana getirdigi jiroskopik kuvvetlerin kompanzasyonu icin SISO PID kontrol yeterli performansa sahip degildir.
